Enthusiasts, collectors, and decorators gather for Cincinnati’s 26th annual retrospective of vintage modern design. The event will feature 70 regional and national dealers. These specialists show and sell authentic vintage art, furnishings, lighting, jewelry, and apparel from the Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern and Op/Pop eras. All merchandise is guaranteed as represented.
Author and ceramic historian Mark Bassett (Cleveland Institute of Art) will present the show's 2020 Special Exhibit “Modernist Mud – Ohio Formed and Fired.” This display will acknowledge the state’s central role in the art pottery and studio pottery movements in the Modernist era. The exhibit will include examples from Rookwood, Roseville, Cowan, and other Ohio art pottery firms. The studio pottery section will feature the works of natives Clyde Burt (Paulding County), Charles Lakofsky (Bowling Green), and husband/wife team Luke and Rolland Lietzke (Akron).
20th Century Cincinnati opens with a two-hour Java Preview at 9:00 on Saturday morning. Preview details and tickets are available at the show's website.
