Stand-up comedy at the Sorg Opera House featuring Charlie Wiener, Ricky Glore, and Mike Conley!
You asked for it, and we have delivered. Get ready for an uproarious night of great stand-up comedy at the Sorg Opera House featuring Charlie Wiener, Ricky Glore, and Mike Conley! Sorg’s First Stand(up) will have you laughing all night long.
After more than fifty years performing Charlie Wiener is still bringing it. High energy, fast paced commentary, ranting and railing on life, love, marriage, and growing older. He will not go quiet into that dark night but revels in the aging process clutching it close and laughing all the way to old age. After having performed more than twelve thousand shows throughout the US, Canada, Ireland and the Netherlands, he shows no sign of slowing down. Through Five Comedy albums and CDs, nine music albums and a half dozen books he has shown he is just hitting his stride. Performing on shows in front of more than fifty thousand people and as few as one, with such notables as John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Alice Cooper, Jefferson Starship, Eddy Money, Jeff Beck and a host of others, he has also appeared on several national TV shows including Evening at The Improv, Club 54, Comedy Central, and PM Magazine. No one gets short changed at a Wiener show.
Ricky Glore can be heard on his newly released album, SPITTING IMAGE (iTunes, Spotify, Sirius XM), THE BOB AND TOM SHOW, seen on DRY BAR COMEDY SPECIAL DAD BOD, and is the head writer of the nationally syndicated #ExplainAMoviePlotBadly commercials airing on the IFC network.
Mike Conley opens the show. This show is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Middletown Community Foundation.
